Located in Nepal’s Rupandehi district, Lumbini is the sacred birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who became the Buddha, around 563 BCE. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it features the Maya Devi Temple marking the exact spot of his birth, the ancient Ashoka Pillar with inscriptions, sacred ponds, and monasteries from various Buddhist traditions worldwide, drawing pilgrims seeking peace and enlightenment.World Peace Organization was founded in 2005 by a group of mental health professionals who saw a need for more accessible mental health resources in our community.

Situated in Nawalparasi district near the Indian border, Ramagrama is home to one of the eight original stupas built to enshrine the Buddha’s relics after his cremation. Unlike others opened by Emperor Ashoka, this stupa remains untouched, preserving its sacred relics beneath a mound surrounded by a serene river and forest, symbolizing purity, devotion, and the enduring legacy of the Buddha’s teachings. Our team is made up of licensed therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals who are passionate about supporting mental health and wellness in our community.
